Todd K. Mohink relocated to Maryland from White Plains, New York, continuing his academic studies at the University of Maryland before earning his Juris Doctor, summa cum laude, from the University of Baltimore School of Law in 1995. What Inspired Todd?
Todd K. Mohink did not set out to be a lawyer. He grew up in White Plains, New York, came to Maryland for the University of Maryland, and after college took an internship in the office of a Maryland senator because he was drawn to government and politics. The committee job he wanted never came through, but the people around him kept telling him the same thing — he was good enough on his feet to be a lawyer. Todd K. Mohink applied to law school late, got in at the last minute, and started a career that is now more than 30 years long. What hooked him was the way he learned the work: thrown into court before he felt ready, trying serious cases with little help, learning by fire. That early trial-by-fire taught Todd K. Mohink came to Maryland from White Plains, New York, transferred from SUNY Buffalo State to the University of Maryland, and then earned his law degree summa cum laude from the University of Baltimore School of Law in 1995, choosing Baltimore deliberately because so many of Maryland's judges and officials had come from there. Jobs were scarce in 1995, so he started with a Glen Burnie general-practice solo who threw him straight into serious trial work. Todd K. Mohink then spent about five years working alongside David Rubin in Empire Towers — a mentor who taught him how to run a business as much as how to try a case — before forming a partnership with Corey Boulay handling domestic and criminal work. Around 2000 and 2001, Todd K. Mohink opened the Law Offices of Todd K. Mohink, PA. In the 30-plus years since, the firm has grown to include two full-time family-law attorneys and a full-time criminal attorney beyond Todd K. Mohink, plus of-counsel support for trusts, wills, and estates and a personal-injury referral practice. Across those decades, Todd K. Mohink built a body of work that includes Braun v.
